So right now, the basics are in place. I'll be adding everything else within the next couple weeks. About the SiteHaven is a site decided to *drum roll* Self-Injury Awareness It is all about shedding light on an issue that I feel has been closeted for too long. Self-Injury is not a trend. It isn't about seeking attention or falling in line with the latest fad. It is a serious issue. And as such, it deserves attention. So I realized that nothing will ever change if the people who have self-injured, who have dealt with the urges and the relapses and the scars.. don't stand up. If we remain silent, the world remains in the dark. I refuse to live in a place of shadows. Mission StatementAs webmistress for Haven, my mission is to provide the following: 1.) A safe, user-friendly environment where you can be educated about Self-Injury. 2.) Honest, true and proven information. 3.) A site for discussion and sharing--artwork, photographs and, most importantly, stories. 4.) Help if you need it. It's as simple as that.
